Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Wren, an SMS-based task management service operated at wren.to. By texting Wren or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Wren lets you create and manage to-do items by sending text messages to a designated phone number. The service includes task creation, completion tracking, daily digest summaries, reminders, and related features delivered via SMS and email.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Wren. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the authority to agree to these terms.

Your Account

Your phone number serves as your primary account identifier. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through messages sent from your phone number. If you believe someone is using your account without authorization, contact us immediately.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Wren only for its intended purpose of personal task management. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Wren's systems or infrastructure
• Send automated or scripted messages to Wren
• Use the service in a way that could harm, disable, or impair its operation
• Resell or redistribute the service without our permission

SMS Messaging

By initiating a text message to Wren, you consent to receiving SMS messages from us related to the service. These messages include task confirmations, reminders, daily digests, onboarding messages, and account notifications.

Message frequency varies based on your usage and preferences. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You can opt out of all messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for support information.

We are not responsible for messages that are delayed or undelivered due to carrier issues, network outages, or device limitations.

Paid Subscriptions

Wren offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can manage your subscription or cancel at any time by texting "manage billing" to Wren. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Your Data

You retain ownership of the task data and content you create through Wren. We claim no ownership over your tasks, notes, or other content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time by texting "delete my account" to Wren. Account deletion is permanent. After a confirmation period, all your data — including tasks, preferences, and message history — will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Wren available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

Limitation of Liability

Wren is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed reminders, lost tasks, or undelivered messages.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via SMS or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
