Wren ("we," "us," "our") is an SMS-based task management service operated at wren.to. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

When you use Wren, we collect the following information:

• Phone number — required to send and receive text messages. This is your primary identifier.
• Email address — provided during onboarding for account verification and digest delivery.
• Task data — the to-do items, due dates, tags, and projects you create through text messages.
• Message content — the text messages you send to Wren, which we process to understand your intent and manage your tasks.
• Preferences — your settings such as timezone, digest schedule, quiet hours, and notification preferences.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the Wren service — creating, managing, and sending reminders about your tasks
• Send you daily digest summaries and task reminders via SMS and email
• Process your subscription payments through Stripe
• Improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns
• Respond to your support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Wren uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Twilio — for sending and receiving SMS messages
• SendGrid — for sending transactional emails (verification, digests)
• Supabase — for database hosting and server infrastructure
• Stripe — for payment processing

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data Retention

Your task data is retained as long as your account is active. Deleted tasks are soft-deleted and permanently removed after 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

SMS Communication

By texting Wren, you consent to receiving text messages from us related to the service, including task confirmations, reminders, and daily digests. Message frequency varies based on your activity and preferences. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for support information.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure database hosting, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

Your Rights

You can:

• Request a copy of your data by contacting us
• Delete your account and all associated data by texting "delete my account" to Wren
• Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
• Update your email address and preferences through text commands

Children's Privacy

Wren is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via SMS or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
